Slice head of lettuce and rinse under cold water
Dice thick cut bacon. In a large skillet on medium-low heat, cook bacon until brown. Drain bacon on a paper towel, but leave bacon grease in the skillet.
Add diced bell pepper and minced garlic into skillet with bacon grease and continue cooking on medium-low for 5 minutes.
Add 1/2 of the sliced head of cabbage into the skillet along with seasonings, onion powder, seasoning salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Cover skillet with a top. Depending on the size of your skillet you may need to wait until the cabbage has wilted some before adding more cabbage.
Cook the cabbage for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until wilted. Add bacon on top and stir in. Add red pepper flakes (optional).
