Creamy Farfalle Pasta with Bacon, Mushrooms and Peas

Ingredients

  • 10 oz farfalle pasta

Creamy Pasta Sauce

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 slices thick bacon
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • optional – parsley and red pepper

Instructions

  • To cook pasta, follow instructions on pasta box.
  • Diced bacon. On medium-low, cook bacon until it's brown.
  • In a separate skillet, add olive oil and sauté mushrooms and garlic for 5 mins.
    Add bacon with fat from the other skillet. Mix in frozen peas.
  • Mix in Italian seasoning, grated parmesan cheese and chicken bouillon.
  • Stir in both heavy whipping cream and milk. Simmer for 5 mins.
  • Mix in pasta and cover. Once the pasta is boiling, stir well and cook for 5 more mins.
  • Optional – top with parsley and red pepper.
