Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 12 slices thick cut bacon
- 1 medium diced bell pepper
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp Lawry's seasoning salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp black pepper
- red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Slice head of lettuce and rinse under cold water
- Dice thick cut bacon. In a large skillet on medium-low heat, cook bacon until brown. Drain bacon on a paper towel, but leave bacon grease in the skillet.
- Add diced bell pepper and minced garlic into skillet with bacon grease and continue cooking on medium-low for 5 minutes.
- Add 1/2 of the sliced head of cabbage into the skillet along with seasonings, onion powder, seasoning salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Cover skillet with a top. Depending on the size of your skillet you may need to wait until the cabbage has wilted some before adding more cabbage.
- Cook the cabbage for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until wilted. Add bacon on top and stir in. Add red pepper flakes (optional).
