Foodie Review: Seoul Bites in Lombard

Nestled in Lombard’s Roosevelt Road strip, Seoul Bites offers a vibrant, modern take on Korean comfort food. This restaurant does feature halal-style dishes and even includes a prayer room. Seoul Bites has also been included on my International Food Challenge list for 2025.

Vibe & Atmosphere

Spacious and clean, this cozy restaurant offers a casual yet welcoming dining experience. Seoul Bites features a self-order QR system for both food and drinks. We visited on a Wednesday night, and it was surprisingly crowded with families after 7 p.m.

What We Ordered

• Fried Chicken & Wings – We tried the Honey Pineapple Chicken Wings, and they might be the best wings I’ve had in a long time. Sweet, tangy, and perfectly crispy, they were bursting with flavor and had an addictive crunch.
• Seafood Pancake – This one was strictly for my husband, who loves seafood. The pancake was generously filled with mussels, squid, clams, and shrimp. A great choice if you’re into bold, ocean-inspired flavors.
• Chicken Cheese Tteokbokki – My husband also chose the Chicken Cheese Tteokbokki and thoroughly enjoyed it. The dish features tender chicken and chewy rice cakes smothered in their sweet and spicy house sauce, topped with molten mozzarella—comfort food with a spicy twist.
• Dolsot Bibimbap (Hot Stone Bowl) – I opted for the Dolsot Bibimbap, which came with Korean rice topped with bulgogi, royal fern, mushrooms, spinach, carrots, zucchini, egg, and a side of gochujang sauce, all served sizzling in a hot stone bowl. The gochujang sauce really brought the flavors together. However, this one didn’t reheat well the next day.
