I’m on Instagram a lot throughout the day. Recently, I started seeing more posts from other foodies going to La Luna. As you have probably read in other blog posts created this year, I set a goal to visit one “new-to-me” Mexican restaurant each month. These restaurants have been around for years, but for some reason, I’ve never visited. La Luna is number four on the list.
Before going on about the restaurant, parking around the restaurant is really difficult. However, I was really happy to get parking one block north of the restaurant. There were multiple parks available as it’s more residential.
Upon entering La Luna, I instantly learned what all the hype was about. The sounds of the interior is vibrant. The wait staff was very attentive.
From the menu we enjoyed the usual, chips and salsa, tacos, beans and rice. Everything was delish. Even the beans and rice were flavorful and not bland.
From the taco dinner:
- Cochinita Pibil – slow cooked pork, cilantro, habanero onions
- Carne Asada – finely chopped skirt steak, onions, cilantro
- Pollo Tinga – Chicken Tinga, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce
Walk-ins are available, but it’s best to make reservations.
