Foodie Review: Daisy’s Po-Boy and Tavern

170

Daisy’s Po-Boy and Tavern is nestled on the corner of 52nd and Harper Avenue in Hyde Park, Chicago, Illinois. Created by owner, Chef Erick Williams, the establishment has a few classic cajun and creole classics.

It’s Hyde Park, so parking is tight.  Thankfully I went during the week where parking is a “little easier” to find – a few blocks away. When entering, you order and pay for your food and drinks first. After sitting, if you decide to order more food, you can pay via credit card at your table with staff.

While there, I tried, the Catfish Po’ Boy, Shrimp Po’ Boy, Seafood Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice, and the Banana Pecan Bourbon Toffee Cake.  All were fabulous with a hearty serving amount. I definitely will visit again to try the fried chicken and biscuits.

During the week, Daisy’s is opened from 4-9pm and until 10pm on the weekends.
