Ingredients

  • 10-14 lb Cook's Spiral Ham (Brown Sugar)
  • 2 large oranges (sliced)
  • 20 oz pineapple slices
  • 1 jar Maraschino cherries
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sweet orange marmalade

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 275℉.
  • Slice the oranges and place them in a roasting pan. Place the ham on top of the orange slices. Be sure to remove the plastic button at the bottom of the ham.
  • To help with assembly, in four separate bowls add 8 pineapple slices, reserved pineapple juice, 16 cherries and 16 toothpicks.
  • Arrange the pineapples onto the ham with a toothpick to help keep them in place. Use 2 toothpicks per pineapple slice. Add one cherry per toothpick.
  • Add water to the bottom of the pan. Add reserved pineapple juice.
Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. Baking time will vary depending on the size of the ham. You should bake for 15-20 minutes per pound.
  • After the ham has baked at the appropriate time, remove from the oven.
Turn up the heat in the oven to 400℉.
  • In a small bowl, add brown sugar, ground ginger, orange marmalade, and the reserved Cook's Ham Glaze. Mix well.
  • Using a pastry brush, spread the glaze mixture all over the ham. Set aside any reserved glaze. While uncovered, place the ham back in the oven. Bake at 400℉ for 25 minutes.
  • Let the ham rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. If you have any reserved glaze left, add this onto the ham or use as a dipping sauce.
