Foodie Review: Brunch at The Cheesecake Factory
I’ve been to The Cheesecake Factory plenty of times, but today is the first time that I’ve visited for brunch. The menu is just as expansive as their lunch and dinner menu, but with the addition of omelettes, pancakes and waffles.
I’m here with a group of friends that I’ve known for years – originally as colleagues. Most of us are at completely different companies, but we’ve maintained communication. We couldn’t get reservations for a group of nine (reservation limit party of 6), however because we arrived as soon as the restaurant opened (Saturday at 11am), we had no problems getting a table, along with parking at Oakbrook Center Mall.
After viewing so many options, I decided to get the Fried Chicken and Waffles. I’m usually annoyed when restaurants take the route of adding chicken tenders instead of chicken wings. This time there were no complaints from me because those chicken tenders had a really delicious, crispy and flavorful batter, which completely complimented the waffle. It’s crazy, but I have to say for a waffle, that was one of the best waffles I’ve ever had. It had a slight citrus flavor that was really tasty.
Brunch at The Cheesecake Factory was a refreshing change from the usual lunch or dinner experience. Sharing this meal with friends I’ve known for years made the experience even better. Even though getting a reservation for a larger group was tricky, arriving early paid off. If you’re planning a visit, I recommend the same approach for a seamless start to your day. Of course, I couldn’t leave without bringing home two slices of cheesecake!
