Last night, I got to experience something I’ve had on my bucket list forever: seeing the legendary Missy Elliott live in concert. Let me tell you, this was no ordinary show—it was an electrifying spectacle filled with mind-blowing visuals, classic tracks, and non-stop energy. If you’re a Missy fan, you know she always delivers, but seeing her perform live took that to a whole new level!
Not only was Missy in the building, but the tour also featured Timbaland, Busta Rhymes and Ciara! All gave a great performance. Timbaland opened the show, similar to how you have a DJ opening for the acts. He’s produced so many songs! I’ve been a fan of his and Missy since the beginning. In fact the first CD I ever owned was the Timbaland and Magoo – Welcome to Our World.
The Setlist
From throwback hits like “Work It” and “Gossip Folks” to newer jams like “WTF (Where They From),” Missy didn’t miss a beat. It was like she’d reached into her deep catalog and pulled out every banger we could ever want to hear. Each song came with its own visual spectacle—dancers, LED screens, and even some nostalgic nods to her iconic music videos. When she performed “Lose Control,” it felt like the whole venue did just that.
The Finale
The show ended with all of the acts on stage. Seeing Timbaland and Missy on the same stage literally brought tears to my eyes! I had been wishing to see both them on stage since the late 90s. In a perfect world, it would have been Timbaland, Missy, Ginuwine, and Aaliyah.
Final Thoughts
If you ever get the chance to see Missy Elliott live, DO IT. Her show was a masterclass in performance, creativity, and energy. Whether you’ve been a fan since the ’90s or just discovered her music, her concert is an experience you don’t want to miss. Missy is more than a musician—she’s a force of nature, and I’m so glad I finally got to witness it firsthand.
