Slice tomatoes to your desired thickness. Sprinkle with Kinder's Grilled Veggie Seasoning or an all purpose seasoning.
Use two separate shallow bowls. In the first bowl mix the corn meal dredge ingredients: corn meal, corn starch, old bay, black pepper and salt. In the second bowl whisk 2 large eggs.
Heat the canola oil in a large skillet OR enough to coat the bottom for frying.
Dip the green tomato slices in the corn meal mixture - then the egg batter, and back into the corn meal -mixture. Add the tomatoes to the skillet with the heated oil.
Fry the tomatoes for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Cook all the slices and drain the tomatoes on paper towels.
Notes
Eat green tomatoes with hot sauce or remoulade sauce. Enjoy!
