Deconstructed Peach Dumplings

peaches
frozen or fresh

crescent rolls

butter (salted)

lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
Instructions
Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
Grease an 8 x 8-inch pan with butter.
Open crescent rolls, remove 4, and cover the bottom of the pan.
Place the frozen peaches on top of crescent rolls.
In a saucepan, melt butter, then add sugar and stir. Next, add vanilla and cinnamon and stir.
Pour the mixture over the peaches.
Using a pizza cutter or knife, slice 2 blocks of crescent rolls lengthwise to create 5 strips. Place the strips over the peaches.
Slice the next 2 blocks of crescent rolls lengthwise and create 5 strips. Place the strips over the peaches to create a lattice.
Pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the pan.
Sprinkle with more cinnamon (optional)
Bake for 60 mins to help cook the bottom dough. After 40 minutes if the top is getting too brown, cover with aluminum foil.
