Creamed Spinach Recipe

heavy whipping cream

parmesan cheese
crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Using a quart size pot, add 1/2 inch of water to boil.
Add spinach and cook until it's wilted. About 3 mins.
Drain the spinach in a strainer. Using a large cooking spoon, pat down and squeeze out the rest of the water.
In a large skillet, melt butter and add flour. Whisk and add minced garlic.
Whisk in salt, black pepper, onion powder, and nutmeg.
Whisk in milk and heavy whipping cream. Cook until mixture is thickened.
Stir in spinach and parmesan cheese.
Garnish with more parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes.
