Ugh! I need to exercise more, but I hate exercising. I’ve purchased a treadmill and elliptical trainer that are sitting in my basement. I’ve used both of them a lot, but I usually stop because I’ve either hurt my ankle or my work schedule has allowed me to slack off. Definitely all excuses. Crap, I’ve spent at least $3,400 on my American Express card for these machines, I need to use them! I haven’t made it a priority to sweat my butt off before or after work. Three things that I’m working on this month towards my goals.
As 2019 approaches, I’ve been reflecting on a few things that happened to me personally during 2018. It’s a good way to start as I think about making a New Year’s resolution.
Between clothes, chairs, at-home exercise equipment, and of course food; when I look over the past few years living a plus size lifestyle, I’ve been spending a lot of money just to be comfortable.
Concerts are expensive, I should be able to sit in a comfortable seat without feeling pain. Plus size seats are hard to find, and it’s not like they are labeled like handicapped seats. “Joy and Pain” is a famous song by Maze featuring Franklin Beverly. It became even more popular once it was sampled by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock. I was born in the 70s, and I enjoy both old school classics! Recently I went to two concerts at the United Center, and for the life of me, I can’t understand why this amazing venue has incredibly small seats. When I come here, I literally feel joy and pain!
Since I was diagnosed with fibroids, it has helped me mentally to know that my body is not weird, and to prepare myself during the dreaded menstrual cycle. Going to work, visiting friends, or going on vacation with family can be a real hassle. Traveling with fibroids can be the worst. There’s more to pack that takes up space in your purse or suitcase – extra clothes, panties, tampons, and maxi-pads! And God forbid, don’t pack anything white!
It’s 5 am in the morning, and I’ve arrived at O’Hare International Airport, the third largest airport in America, and the fifth largest in the world. Where could I possibly be traveling this early in the morning? Vegas baby! I’ve been there several times before, but the last time I was in Vegas was over 11 years ago, and it was a seven day family experience with my husband and teen daughters.
